Our company, a French family small to medium-sized business, has been awarded the PME+ label.
The « PME+ » label is awarded after an annual audit conducted by Ecocert Environnement® evaluating compliance with strict specifications based on standard ISO 26000.

At Saint Bernard, we have introduced measures to support human relations and well-being with the aim of making our employees’ working lives easier. This most recently involves the creation of a collaborative platform within our company that allows our teams to keep up with and comment on company news, but also to suggest ideas on themes such as work organisation, working life, eco-citizenship, etc. Each employee can also respond to polls or post small adverts to share tips, sports or charity events, or sell/trade second-hand items.
We encourage job creation and strive to improve access to training for Saint Bernard teams. In practice, this represents 97% of posts with permanent contracts, and we are endeavouring to recruit young people in partnership with regional courses (Bac pro and BTS).
As part of the "Better for my planet" core foundation of our CSR approach, we are introducing measures aiming to reduce our company's environmental impact. Our teams pay particular attention to sorting and recycling, reducing single-use plastics, and energy saving. These measures have already allowed us to reduce our general industrial waste by 25% in the space of a year.
Our design team has undergone training in eco-design, to ensure that our products have a lower environmental impact, from design to end of life. We give increasing priority to local production: 1/3 of our products are designed in France (Somme and Pas de Calais regions).
We are transparent with regard to our practices and work daily to improve product quality. We have created a community of consumer-testers, known as La Tribu, made up of pet owners who help us create and improve our products, at different stages of design.
Logistics at Saint Bernard have also been optimised over the past few months. A great deal of work has been carried out at our production facility in Péronne in recent years, which allows us to manufacture a growing number of products at the facility located right next to our shipment warehouses! Furthermore, Saint Bernard has obtained authorisation to distribute organic-certified products, and we have introduced a quality policy and a continuous improvement process (we are currently in the process of receiving ISO9001/14001 certification).

1% FOR ANIMALS LABEL
The Saint-Bernard company belongs to the Founding Group of the “1% For Animals” label. This label, created by the YouCare Association , aims to save animal lives and protect biodiversity all over the world. To achieve this aim, the label plans to call upon committed companies to fund practical actions in the field. Companies committed to the 1% For Animals Label contribute 1% of their turnover.

ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
The Saint Bernard company has obtained ISO 9001 certification; this standard is based on a number of quality management principles, notably strong customer focus, managerial motivation and commitment, a process-based approach, and continuous improvement.
We are also ISO 14001-certified; this standard defines the criteria of an environmental management system and offers reassurance that we strive to control and improve our environmental impact.
